Intense eyes and Dark lips

Hello my gorgeous ladies! I see most women go the 'SMOKEY EYE / NUDE LIP' WAY! Seems everyone is wary of experimenting dark lips with intense eyes. I sure do agree that it is kinda strong and works well for fashion shoots  but sure there is a way you can make it work for a party as well. You just have to make sure  that the eyes are just about intense enough without being over the top. I know most women will say 'How much is intense enough?' The  image above you see is the perfect example of the same. The shade of lipstick is a classic burgundy, dark, yet not too black. What you need to remember to achieve this look is that the shade used on the eyes and lips needs to be just right!! I would skip black all together for the eyes and use shades of deep metal grey/ egg plant with a lipstick which is deepwine/ burgundy!

So go for it girls////// va va vrrroooommmmm glam it up:)

The Winged Eye liner

Hey peeps. Its been a lovely August so far. Had a few days off from work so I thought its best to update my blog. I am gonna speak about the winged eye liner today. Its a classic and one can't go wrong wearing it. Its an instant fix to lift those eyes up and make them look bigger and beautiful. The trick just lies in its shape. I often see women shape the eye liner, round. Thin at the inside corner, thickest in the center & thin again at the outer corner. This is the worst thing you could do to your eyes. Instead keep it thinnest at the inner corner and keep building the thickness as you draw the line, at the outer corner just give it a flick up.

I know most women struggle with getting their eye liners right. Yes I agree its an art to get it right. Owning the right eye liner sure can make it easier. I completely recommend the Lancome Eyeliner for the great precision it gives and love the black it is, absolutely stark . It does not flake and the tip of the eye liner is just perfect. Initially you could also start practising the same with pencil liners. They definitely are much easier to use. Lancome kohl pencils are just fantastic for the same. They are called Le Crayon Kohl and they glide through the eye like butter and are smudge proof.

Give your eyeliner an interesting twist , use a coloured one. Shades of blue, green, burgundys and greys can make the look enticing. The winged eye liner would look absolutely gorgeous with lots of mascara, so curl those lashes and apply atleast 2-3 coats of mascara. Add kohl to make the eyes look intense. Red lips would totally glam up your look!!

Stay gorgeous!!

Make up for Dark Skin

Dark is so beautiful. I just love the way how olive skin glistens. I am still baffled to see how women prefer to look fairer than they are. Did they even know that its much easier to do make up on dark skin? I agree that untill sometime back it was difficult to find a foundation for dark skin, but this does not apply any more. With  MAC & Lancome stores around you definitely can't say this now. They have foundations, concealors & compacts to offer for the darkest asian skin. The best make up product for dark skin is BRONZER. Just one simple sweep of this magical product and voila!!! one looks ultra glamorous.

Intense eyes looks simply outstanding on dark skin. For the blush they should stick to plum and burnt orange shades & for the lips plum, browns , burgundys & deep reds.

When applying bronzer, use a big, fluffy brush and tap off any excess product before swiping it on your face. I recommend that you concentrate most of the color at your temples and along the cheekbones and  lightly brush across your nose and chin. Don't forget to apply and blend bronzer down your neck. And if your hair is up in a ponytail, you should also put a little around your ears. A generous sweep of bronzer on your collar bones looks absolutely stunning.
I love the bronzers by MAC & NARS! They have stunning shades to offer & the results are oh so gorgeous!

Product Review : Lancome Tient Idole Ultra Foundation

Hey everyone. Am sure each gorgeous lady out there is always looking for a foundation, better than her last purchase. Though I see a lot of women stuck with a brand & type of foundation for years... I think that is purely a wrong approach. Every brand is doing huge research trying to improvise on their products every few months & I think we all must keep ourselves open to change . I have been using the Chanel Pro Lumiere foundation at work & for my own self for 4 years now, I did use Make up forever High definition foundation & the Armani face fabric as well & love them all. I just stick to Chane more as it is readily available off the shelf, unlike Armani & Make up forever.

Now that Chanel has discontinued their Pro Lumiere range I set out one day to look for an alternate product & what I found is oh!so!perfect!. Its the LancĂ´me Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation creates a flawless, even complexion that lasts for 24 hours and doesn't need retouching. The foundation leaves skin looking smooth and shine free and is enriched with eternalsoft polymer techonology. Available in 12 shades, just perfect for Asian skin.

Infact I managed getting a trial sachet & even used it on one of my brides & the results are for you to see below!!This is a 100%  unedited image.

So don't limit yourself to one...go explore...& stay gorgeous:)

The Perfect Eyeliner

Hey there. I see most women struggling with the application of their eye liner. Well the best way to get it right is by practising it. Eye liner is the magical wand that does the trick for eyes every time. Small eyes look bigger instantly. It always helps take away the attention from a dark under eye and bags too. I see most people applying it in a circular shape - that is thin at the inner & outer corners and thickest in the center. On the contrary it needs to be, thin to thick, just flickin it out at the outer corner of the eye. An eye liner extending out of your eye shape will always give the impression of a larger eye.

Also people struggling with liquid eye liners remember pencil eye liners are way easy to apply. Anytime you go a little wrong, just smudge it with your finger tip or a smudger. Don't limit yourself with a black eye liner, blue, green , brown & greys are really interesting shades to use. Also please do not skip the mascara. Curl those lashes and apply atleast 2-3 coats.

I find Bourjois pencils absolutely perfect. The price &  colours too are great. Check out thier 'smoky eye' pencils. Achieving the smokey eye look with them is cake walk. Am the biggest fan of MAC eyepencil called TEDDY, its the perfect brown no matter what shade you are.

Hey you beautiful people! I am back with my inputs and I thought how about talking about the 'classic red lips'! No make up can do what just gorgeous red lips can. It can add instant glamour to a much mundane make up routine of ours. I still see a lot of people running away from this colour. They think its a bit too much and mostly what I get to hear is that it does not suit them & they don't know which red to buy.

If  you want to under play red lips, just go with very subtle eye make up. A shimmery  brown eye shadow all over your lids ( try Mulch from MAC) with atleast 2- 3 coats of mascara , a generous lining of kohl & you are done with your eyes ( do i need to mention your concealor & foundation regimen?)

To get those perfect red lips , dab a bit of shimmer on your cupid's bow! It makes your lips look irresistible, line your lips with a red lip liner gently (try BOURJOIS Red) , and fill up your complete lip with the same. Take your red lipstick and fill up your lips with a lip brush for precision (try CHANEL Rouge Allure Velvet, 38, La Fascinante) specifically for Asian skin or you can go for MAC Russian Red or Rubywoo in case you prefer bright red. I prefer the matt shades than glossy in red.

IF you think you got it in you to carry off the smokey eyes, don't think twice. Make them dark & black, all you need to make sure is that your make up is well blended & voila!!! you are ready to shine. Bronzer looks great with this look, make sure you dab some over your blush & face to look absolutely divine. A generous sweep of bronzer on your collar bones will make you look like a diva.

Though the most timeless look for red lips , is the winged eye liner & hair gelled back into a bun or pony tail . You can never go wrong with this look. You can view more images with red lips on my website www.chandnisingh.com.

Keep it red:):)

Hellllo everyone! Am back after a long break & I promise to be regular here on. The year has been eventful & have loved every bit of it so far. Coming back to my most favorite topic - hair & make up, I thought will speak of Bridal hair & make up as I have had the chance of having some wonderful clients, as usual. Am thoroughly pleased to see that girls today no longer wish to look like a Christmas tree. They want to look every bit of the beautiful bride without painting themselves under layers of white foundations and green/red /orange eye shadows. I however do not also believe that colored eye shadows are any bad....its all in the application & getting the shades and blending right.
